Description
This highly illustrated coursebook and accompanying CD-ROM forms part of our completely new Mathematics for the IB Diploma series. It has been written to specifically cover the new IB Standard Level syllabus in a progressive manner. The approach encourages cumulative learning, and offers a dedicated chapter at the end of the book for exercises that use a combination of topics – a typical trick in the IB Examinations.

 

About the Author
Paul Fannon teaches Mathematics and Theory of Knowledge at Stephen Perse Sixth Form College; the winner of the Sunday Times School Guide Parent Power 2010 IB School of the Year award. He has over 7 years’ experience teaching IB at all levels, as well as over 6 years’ experience teaching Theory of Knowledge. He was also Joint Coordinator of Higher Level Mathematics at Sevenoaks School from 2006-2007.

Vesna Kadelburg has over 5 years’ experience teaching IB at all levels, including Further Mathematics. She is also the Deputy Leader of the United Kingdom Mathematics Team. She was Joint Coordinator of Higher Level Mathematics at Sevenoaks School from 2006-2007.

Ben Woolley teaches at Stephen Perse 6th Form College and has four years' IB Maths teaching experience, as well as a Master's degree in Epidemiology.

Stephen Ward is currently Head of Sixth Form at Lancing College in West Sussex where he is also responsible for the Gifted and Talented Programme for Mathematics. He has 5 years experience of teaching A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics (Edexcel and OCR) and as well as an undergraduate and Masters degree in Mathematics he also has a background in Educational
research and Economics.'
