The new edition of the best-selling English for Academic Study (EAS) series is now available. Garnet Education publishes the series in collaboration with practising teachers of EAP from the University of Reading’s International Study and Language Institute. The EAS series comprises seven separate EAP Course Books, covering the essential skills for English-medium study. The series has been designed for students on pre-sessional and foundation courses within an IELTS range of 5.0 to 7.5+.
EAS Reading contains completely new material, as does the companion EAS Reading & Writing Source Book, which comprises a range of authentic texts specially chosen for university study. EAS Writing has also been extensively revised with a large number of new texts and activities. EAS Extended Writing & Research Skills has been thoroughly revised and now includes new additional material. The whole series has been changed to a new format for ease of use.
Contemporary methodology: reflects the most recent developments in EAP teaching, based on practical experience in the EAP classroom.
Multimedia support: the audio material for Listening and Speaking includes authentic transcripts of realistic length, with a variety of accents; the EAS Listening Course Book includes two audio CDs and a DVD of video extracts from authentic lectures.
